INVESTIGATION and REMEDIATION

GHI provides a full suite of environmental services; from environmental impact statements (EIS, EA), phase I site assessments, and phase II site investigations, through remedial investigations and feasibility studies (RI/FS), to remedial technology and cleanup oversight.

The GHI staff has experience from groundwater, surface water, and soil investigations and remediations at public, mining, industrial, and military sites across the country.  Projects have included sites covered under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA or Superfund) as well as volunteer actions and state mandated cleanups.

GHI has experience involving a full spectrum of contaminants included organic and inorganic compounds in gaseous, free-phase (LNAPL and DNAPL), colloidal and dissolved states.  Organic contaminants have included both volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and semi-volatile organic compounds (SVOCs) and inorganic contaminants have included metals and general water quality parameters.

GHI's vast hydrogeological and geochemical experience combine to enable us to have a clear understanding of the processes and interactions that contribute to the migration and attenuation of environmental impacts.
